Chin went to class and I went to check out the area by Notre
Dame and the Louvre.
I did a lot of
walking and just like the day I decided to sit down and have an espresso and croissant.
The subway train left me off right in the
mall under the Louvre.
I got to see the
bottom of the glass pyramid.
The mall
underground was very nice and it even included an Apple store.
I didn’t try to get into the museum
itself.
Not enough time to enjoy it but
I did go above ground and was amazed at how large it really is
It was amazing to see.
I eventually made my way back to the hotel
where I worked all afternoon.

We had our boat tour that night. The tour was nice but
didn’t start on time.
There was good food
and drink.
The pre-meal was a glass of
red wine mixed with champagne.
They then
served red and white wine with the meal. Good food and drink.
We had roast beef as the main dish.
Some lady got real mad because they demanded
A-1 steak sauce for the Roast Beef.
Fortunately the manager came over, shrugged and walked away from her.
If I was the manager I would have laughed at
her first and then walked away.
The tour was on the river Seine. We got to see a bunch of tourist attractions
from the boat including the original Statue of Liberty, the Hospital, and
of course the Eiffel Tower. I believe
there were 9 or 10 total attractions that we could see. We never would have had the time to visit
them in person.
After the tour we went across the street to Trocadero and from there watched
them light up the Eiffel Tower. It was
fun to watch. Street vendors were
selling individual beers and your usual trinkets. We proceeded back to our hotel where we then
went to the rooftop bar to watch the lights again an hour later at 11.
Note: My Notre Dame pics aren't showing in this blog.
